Fanzines

Part of the engagement process with participants on our projects is through the creation of co-created fanzines, which give us all a chance to sit down together and rip, cut, write and glue a fanzine whilst discussing some of the issues raised through our event or workshops. The creation of the fanzine harks back to the days of underground press and self publication when LGBT communities created agit-prop materials to counteract to a visible presence in mainstream media. Although the internet has democratised the publishing process there is still a lot to be said for the act of people coming together and working on their fanzine
